It’s so interesting how important colors are in our lives. They can describe us, move us, form our opinions, help us visualize and so much more. With this post I want to talk a little about it just to remind you the beauty and meaning behind it. That the next time when you’ll be painting or drawing something (or even buying a new scarf!) there would be an understanding about the secrets behind this magic.
COLORS AS MEANINGFUL SYMBOLS
This is very individual. For one person green can be the most vibrant and happy color and for the other it can describe sadness. However, according to Feng Shui philosophy every color has its meaning. No wonder that we are spending so much time picking out the color of our home walls, furniture, clothes, hair and even smartphones!
My happy color is definitely blue. What’s yours?
COLORS AS INFLUENCERS
How often do we buy things that are just the perfect color? I can raise my hand! A lot. Also, how often are we discouraged be the tones that are distant and cold to us? If we sit and try to analyze our likes and dislikes a lot of them would depend on color schemes.
If you ever feel sad or unmotivated try to surround yourself with something different than usual. Why not start with some color changes? I notice that when dressed in proper color I can be more positive and cheerful! This means soft, sandy and grey tones for me.
COLORS FOR EXPRESSION
All of use create in a different way. No matter if you are an artist or not you pick colors according to your taste. Through analyzing human behavior it is possible to notice so many daily things and habits that are based on different color themes. Food we pick on the plate, clothes and accessories we wear, stationery products we buy or even plants we put in the garden… Everything depends on colors!
It’s so important to have joy in our visual surroundings and be able to express our feelings. Dark tones can impose equally as much as light ones. It’s your ability and power to choose one that makes you different from others!
I hope that some of this makes sense. I encourage everyone to be more aware about not only the whole picture but also about the coloring of it! Use colors to your advantage. Create happiness with it. Motivate yourself. Notice when you need change and try to experiment.
I notice that sometimes one specific color combination looks more appealing to me than others. I watched myself liking hard and bright colors for some time. Now I see that all my favorite colors are getting more and more soft. Specifically pastel tones start to look more beautiful than ever. There is no surprise that our taste and mind changes over time!
Try playing with colors, if you want to start something new or are looking for a boost. Let yourself change and see what happens!
What’s the color combination that totally resonates with you?
